從網站辨認美國野雞大學

這幾天看了台灣的野雞大學（或說學店）的網頁後，我想起美國野雞大學的網站有個特色，讓人不必親臨現場，就可以聞到該校的野雞味。

去年九月，被許多媒體捧出來的「排毒教父」林光常爆發假學歷風波，他取得博士學位的「美國環球大學」被踢爆是野雞大學。林光常一開始矢口否認，水果日報記者親臨該校所在地，發現美國環球大學原來只有十坪大！

我們當時雖然沒到懷俄明州，但是看了該校網站，很快就知道那是一所野雞大學。

所謂的學店或野雞大學，最主要的工作就是賣文憑。所以這類學校的網頁，往往有許多人穿學位服的照片，網頁各處不時散置學位帽、文憑之類的圖案。美國環球大學就是這樣的。

美國環球大學絕對是學店的證明，在Foreign Faculty一項之下。外國人想成為美國環球大學的老師，除了符合要有博士學位等正常條件外，還要至少介紹15名學生就讀美國環球大學，每學期要確保有 10名學生登記就讀，一學年（有三學期）則要有30名學生就讀（繳錢給美國環球大學），做不到就可能被掃地出門：

「Conditions and Expectations:

1.A foreign faculty member is expected to introduce a minimum of fifteen (15) students to AGU prior to appointment and must guarantee the enrollment of ten (10) students per trimester totaling thirty (30) students per year.

2.A foreign faculty member who breaches his or her agreement with AGU or who does not comply with AGU's stated policies will be discharged and his or her association with AGU terminated. Moreover, the member’s overseas institution and the appropriate agency of the government of the country in which the institution is located will be informed of the termination and the reasons for it.」

這看起來很像直銷商，不是大學老師該做的事啊！

我當時忍不住翻了一下林光常的書（公公以前買的），看到他感謝的許多媒體（也是當時拼命報導他擁有假學歷的那些媒體），心中不免納悶，那些在他還沒那麼紅的時候訪問過他的記者，沒有一個人問過他的學歷問題嗎？沒有一個人仔細看過美國環球大學的網頁嗎？

野雞大學很多「文章」，其實就藏在公開的網站中啊！
